Your Tax Time Checklist

By Jared Hodge
The end of a financial year is a great time to review your financial situation. As you pull your statements together consider where you’re at now and your goals for next year. Whether it’s paying down debt sooner, buying an investment property, taking a holiday or renovating your home, I can review your situation to help you get there.
Do you own an investment property?

Use this checklist to maximise your investment returns and wrap this financial year up smoothly:

Collect statements from your property manager and receipts for repairs or work, insurance, body corporate levies, rates and water
Order any last minute renovations or work to claim the expenses in this financial year
Complete a fire alarm inspection
Organise a depreciation schedule if you don’t already have one
Speak to your accountant about paying interest in advance.
Do you run your own business?

If you’re self-employed it’s an important time to review your overheads and consider opportunities to save. Let’s catch up to review your loan interest commitments.

If you’re thinking about buying a home or investment property then it’s time to look into your options and borrowing power. The way lenders review self-employed incomes has changed so understanding your figures and forward planning is critical. I can help you navigate which lender is right for you.

Don’t forget I can help you with
vehicle and equipment lending too.
